Alejandra Arroyave

Alejandra Arroyave is an associate with Lapin & Leichtling, LLP. Her areas of practice include complex litigation, insurance coverage, and mortgage banking litigation. She graduated cum laude from the University of Miami with a B.A. in 1999, subsequently graduating cum laude and receiving her J.D. from the University's law school in 2003. In 2003 Arroyave was admitted to practice law in Florida, in the U.S. District Court, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida in 2004; and in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida in 2007. She is a member of the Dade County Bar Association and The Florida Bar. She is fluent in Spanish.

Arroyave was the recipient of the Soia Mentschikoff Award for Excellence in Scholarly Writing, 2002; was a member and Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Law Review from 2001-2003. She has served on the Board of the International Moot Court as Secretary and Coordinator of the Inter-American Moot Court Competition. Arroyave is the author of “Preserving the Essence of Zadvydas v. Davis in the Midst of a National Tragedy,” 57 U. Miami L. Rev. 235, 2002.
