Anne Janet De Ases

Anne Janet De Ases is an associate at Lapin & Leichtling, LLP. Her areas of practice include complex litigation and mortgage banking litigation. She received her B.A. with honors from Wesleyan University in 2000. She attended George Washington University, receiving her J.D. from the University's Law School in 2005. She was admitted to practice law in Florida in 2005, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, in 2007; the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida in 2008; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in 2009. De Ases is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. De Ases was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

In addition to being a quarterfinalist in the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) Moot Court Competition, 2005; De Ases was Regional President, HNBA Law Student Division from 2004 to 2005; a member of the Public Contract Law Journal from 2003 to2005; a member of the Mock Trial Board from 2003 to 2005; and a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board from 2003 to 2005. De Ases is the author of “Increasing Transparency and Other Methods of Eliminating Corruption in the Public Procurement Process,” 34 Pub. Cont. L.J. 553 (2005).
