Adam B. Leichtling

Adam B. Leichtling is a founder of Lapin & Leichtling, LLP. His areas of practice include complex litigation, construction defect litigation, insurance coverage and class actions. Leichtling received an A.B. in 1988 from Brown University, and graduated cum laude from the University of Miami Law School with a J.D. in 1993. He was admitted to practice law in Florida in 1993, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida in 1994; the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida in 1996; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit in 2000; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit in 2003. Leichtling is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association (Member, Sections on Tort Trial and Insurance Practice; Litigation); the American Association for Justice; the Florida Justice Association; the Dade County Bar Association; and the Miami-Dade Justice Association.

Leichtling was a member of the University of Miami Law Review from 1992 to1993. He is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Bankruptcy. Leichtling is the author of “Scheck v. Burger King Corp.: Why Burger King Cannot Have Its Own Way with Its Franchises,” 48 U. Mia. L. Rev. 671, 1994; and “Fundamental Concepts in Reinsurance in Latin American Countries,” 37 U. Mia. Inter-Am. L. Rev. 1, Fall 2005.
